Connection Groups
It was great to see so many people plugging into so many areas in September. Lots of people took the challenge to take the next step in their spiritual journey by connecting in one of our four seasonal connection groups. The Ladies’ Bible Study is off to a great start. They are doing Beth Moore’s Esther study. Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University is up and running on Tuesday nights. We kicked off Men’s Monday Night Football & Bible Study with almost 40 guys. We are looking at Tony Dungy’s “Uncommon” study. Finally, a new round of Starting Point is answering questions for new believers on Sunday mornings during the first service. There are so many things going on this fall.

Volunteer Teams / Community Groups
The other way to connect at Seminole is through our Volunteer Teams and Community Groups. The Volunteer Teams that need the most help right now are our Ushering Team in the second service and our Setup Team on Thursday nights. If you are interested in helping with these vital ministries, sign up on Sunday. Most of our Community Groups are back to meeting again now that summer is over. Several are looking for new members to join them on Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights. Fall is a great time to join a Community Group. Sign up on the Communication Card when you are ready to take this step.

Luau Party and Baptism
The highlight of September was obviously our Back to School Luau and Baptism. What a great crowd! The new food tent allowed us to feed about 400 people, and everyone had a seat! We all enjoyed the incredible fare. Those chicken kabobs were amazing! The limbo was a hoot! We baptized 8 more people, too! What a great day it was!

First Wednesday Communion
October is another busy month at Seminole. It is a great month to get to know each other. There are plenty of opportunities for even more connecting and growing. Don’t miss First Wednesday Communion service on October 7 from 7-8pm. On the first Wednesday of most months, we meet for an extended time of worship and communion. We usually conclude our time together with snacks and fellowship. This month the food theme is Chips & Dips. Hope you will bring your favorite dip and join us!

Choctoberfest!
Ladies, prepare for our second annual Choctoberfest! on Friday, October 16th. That’s right…a night totally dedicated to chocolate decadence! Bring your favorite chocolate dessert to enter the competition or just to share. Enjoy games, prizes, and fellowship with the ladies of Seminole Church. This was a BIG hit last year. You don’t want to miss it this time around.

Trunk ‘R Treat
Finally, we will round out the month with a “Trunk ‘R Treat” celebration on Friday night, October 30. Stock your trunk with your favorite candies to give to the kids. Children from babies to middle schoolers are invited to dress up in costumes and go from trunk to trunk at the church, loading their bags with candy. This is a great chance to invite your friends to a fun family friendly event. Last year we had over 400 people attend. It was great fun!

Fantastic Fall
